DESCRIPTION:On Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 2-3pm ET, ITCE will host a free webinar about the Social and Emotional Learning program, Insight, a collaboration with Aquinas College in Nashville, TN. Insight is a one-of-a-kind professional development program that brings together contributions from the psychological sciences and the Catholic intellectual tradition. The Insight video series offers a fresh look at Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) through the lens of the Catholic Christian vision of the human person, specifically as taught by Saint Thomas Aquinas. This free program consists of 10 brief Video Lessons, a Discussion Guide, and a Prayer Companion featuring sacred art and scripture. Insight was designed for Catholic school educators, school counselors, and parents, and may be used in monthly faculty meetings, in small groups, or for private study. \nThis webinar will give Catholic educators an in-depth understanding of Insight as a resource to use for faculty formation. Guest speakers will include two Insight co-contributors, Sr. Dominica Bickerton, O.P., Secondary English Teacher at Notre Dame High School, and Sr. Elena Marie Piteo, O.P., Assistant Professor of Psychology at Aquinas College. During this hour-long conversation, Sr. Elena Marie will share how Insight was created and why it is a timely resource for Catholic schools to use to help students develop a solid sense of social and emotional well-being within a Catholic framework. Additionally, Principal of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School, Sr. Mary Sheila Maksim, O.P., and her colleague, Katie Benjamin, will be on the speakers’ panel to share their experience implementing Insight into their faculty formation. At the end of the webinar, there will be time for the audience to submit questions to the webinar panelists about Insight. \n			\n						Register for free here\n					\n
