NCEA 2024 Convention

Join Dr. Hagan and Dr. Kremer at NCEA’s 2024 Convention, where they will be participating in a panel on the importance of continuous improvement in Catholic schools. The panel is titled, “CAAC Discussion: Continuous Improvement, School Accreditation, and More,” and will include other Catholic accrediting agency representatives.

Additionally, Dr. Melissa Mitchell and Dr. Cynthia Sanders from The Catholic University of America Department of Education will be leading a panel presenting Oral Histories and Connections: How the Past informs the Present through Interviews with Doctors John Convey, Merylann Schuttloffell and Leonard DeFiore.

  • Dr. Daryl Hagan
    Dr. Daryl Hagan
    Director, ITCE

    Dr. Hagan has devoted his career to Catholic education, serving as a Catholic school teacher, principal, director of schools, superintendent, and lead evaluator. From 2010-2022 he served as Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Evansville, Indiana. Prior to this position, he served for thirteen years as principal of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School in the Diocese of Owensboro, Kentucky.

    In July 2022, he began service as the Director of the new Program of K-12 Catholic School Accreditation offered through the ITCE at The Catholic University of America. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Kentucky University, M.A. in Instructional Leadership from Western Kentucky University, M.A. in Elementary Education from Murray State University, and B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana.

    Dr. Andrew Kremer
    Director, Program of Accreditation

    Dr. Andrew Kremer has served as a diocesan leader, school administrator, teacher, and coach in his vocation as a Catholic educator. He began his career as a teacher and coach at Bishop Chatard High School in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Kremer then transitioned to the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana as an assistant principal and head football coach at Guerin Catholic High School in Noblesville, Indiana.

    In 2018 he accepted the role of Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana and in December of 2021 was named the Interim Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Kremer has served as the vice chair of the Indiana Catholic Schools Consortium and a member of the board of the Indiana Non-public Education Association. He now is blessed to serve as the Associate Director of Strategy and Membership for Catholic School Accreditation at the Institute for the Transformation of Catholic Education.
