ICLE Annual Conference Comes to The Catholic University of America

From July 11–14, ITCE served as a sponsor for the 2022 National Conference of the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education (ICLE) , which was hosted at the Catholic University of America. The Institute for Catholic Liberal Education, founded in 1999, inspires and equips Catholic educators to renew today’s Catholic schools by drawing on the Church’s tradition of education. ITCE is pleased to be a collaborator with ICLE in the work of renewal of Catholic education, and ICLE’s Executive Director Elisabeth Sullivan serves on the ITCE Board of Advisors.

As a sponsor for the conference, ITCE was proud to have its Program Manager, Sagra Alvarado-Hardy, serve as the conference photographer, and Director, Sister Mary Agnes Greiffendorf, present about ITCE and introduce the conference participants to its programs and services.

Several members of the ITCE Board of Advisors were in attendance. Throughout the conference, four ITCE Advisors were plenary speakers including Bishop Conley, Mary Pat Donoghue, Michael Ortner, and Elisabeth Sullivan. Meanwhile, Dr. Jem Sullivan led a breakout session on the theme of beauty and its importance in the classroom. Shawn Peterson was also present at the conference as an attendee. Sister Mary Agnes presented about ITCE and the work it seeks to accomplish within the coming years.

ITCE looks forward to connecting with Catholic educators at future gatherings to enhance relationships and build partnerships. Sister Mary Agnes says, “The ICLE Conference was a beautiful and renewing formation experience for Catholic educators. It was a true joy to welcome this wonderful event to CUA.” Congratulations to ICLE for an excellent conference!
